The rent shown on your certificate comes directly from the real Colonies housing portfolio: it is set by the operator, and neither you nor Studhome can change it.

That constraint is deliberate, and it is what makes the document credible: consulates know what a realistic rent looks like in each city. Attestations with fanciful or on-demand rents are exactly what gives fake documents away.

Two practical consequences:

• Check consistency with your funds. Consular authorities look at whether your financial evidence covers the stated rent. If the rent in your chosen city is high, your funds section must keep up.
• Rent varies by city and residence. You can browse real ranges on the city pages, from Paris to Lyon, before starting your application.
